Stability Ball Giveaway

[By Crabby]

Yes, we have a big plastic bouncy thing to give away this week! Thanks, Sportsmith!

Plus a little pump to go with it--because, alas, the balls aren't nearly as useful when there's no air in them. I know this first hand, because when our little stability ball pump got lost during our move, all I could do was stare sadly at the deflated puddle of plastic for weeks and weeks.

(That is, until the Lobster located a little plastic adapter that would work with our bicycle pump. Clever Lobster! She accomplished this by buying:

which she has been longing for for quite some time. Fortunately it did not come pre-stocked with a happy little hetero family (what would we feed them?) but even better, it had a little pump adapter that worked perfectly in the Stability Ball! Or perhaps she got one from the neighbors when she inflated the pool. Anyway, I came home one afternoon to find the Lobster splashing happily in the backyard and my big bouncy ball back again!)

Attention Giveaway Skimmers, you can come back now! We're done with the Crab/Lobster/inflatable wading pool digressions.

Oh wait... One quick question, before we get into exciting technical details and the contest instructions and the multitude of useful things you can do with your big bouncy ball.

Why the heck are they called "Stability Balls?" Aren't they really the opposite? Isn't the whole point of them to make you feel like if you don't pay proper attention keep everything squeezed tight you might fall over and cause bodily injury and make an ass of yourself?

Just sayin'.

Anyway, this is an "anti-burst" Stability ball, which seems like a really good feature when you think about it. In fact, I bought my ball years ago, and I wonder, could I have purchased an earlier "pro-burst" model that's likely to explode if hop on after a big meal? Yikes!

So it's also important to note that these things come in sizes. There's a 55 cm Small One, for people 5'0" to 5'6"; a 65cm Medium One for those 5'7" to 5'11"; and a 75cm Big Honkin' One for you tall folks 6 feet or over.

What does one do with a stability ball?

Well, I'm actually lazy and unimaginative, so I use mine mostly for stretching. I heard somewhere that flopping over the top of one, face up, and dangling your head back so that you're in an upside down U will not only stretch your back, but decompress your spine and keep your back from gettting all squooshed and scrunched when you're older and might even keep you from shrinking. Is this true? I have no idea, quite possibly not! But I have no motivation to go out and find out otherwise, since it motivates me to stretch out my back.

But, you can do ALL KINDS of exercises with these things, even a complete workout!

Here is a Cute Perky Female Sparkperson video; alternatively, there's also one with a Handsome Guy So Secure in his Masculinity He Uses A Bright Pink Yoga Mat.

For people at work who do not want to broadcast panting exercise video sounds to their neighboring cubes, we have some written instructions here.

But by far the BEST GUIDE EVER to proper use of a stability ball is this instructional post, brought to you by the fabulous Bossy of I Am Bossy.

Contest Instructions:
So wanna win one? Just leave a comment on this post before midnight, EST, Tuesday August 19th and check back the next day (Wednesday 8/19) to find out if you've won. (Or else someone else might get your stability ball!) And feel free to comment about any ol' thing--stability balls, inflatable pools, how your summer is going, if you're getting S.H.I.I.T. done these days, whatever... and we'll choose a random winner.

And, crap, I forgot... afraid this is another U.S. residents only. Sorry!!!!!

  1. Well, I too would like to know what you're supposed to feed a cute little hetero family, cause I have one of those and it seems the answer is: Not what I had been feeding them thus far. So maybe we could just have this answered in comments?

  2. Ah the infamous stability ball, how I love (loathe) thee...I bet that person in that picture a killer core if they can sleep on it like that!!!

What I wouldnt give for a killer core! Oh wait, I would need my OWN stability ball!

Just think how much faster I could run NYC!!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Looks like the person in the picture has a great idea-I would have to try that to see if it works for me.

    ReplyDelete
  4. That looks like fun!

I would use it for back stretching, and in place of furniture when I had guests.

One of my friends had one that they used as a chair at their computer. I hadn't had so much fun using the internet in AGES.

If there's even a chance that a cat can puncture one of those, it's better off going to someone else though. =P

  5. Well, from the tv ads I always got the impression that cute little hetero families love Frozen Pizzas and Brightly Colored Sugared Breakfast Cereals and Pringles and Kool-Aid?

(Little gay families don't tend to be on tv, so I get to assume they have healthier eating habits, though I doubt that's actually the case).

And I believe Bossy can sleep anywhere! But tends to prefer a Viking pop-up trailer to a stability ball.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Don't know about the cat puncturing possibility--anyone ever had that happen? It's "anti burst," so it shoudln't be a "cat"-astrophic event even if somehow it did happen.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Okay, I would totally be the crazy person using it for a desk chair at work. Sure, I'd roll off it occasionally, but there's the *adventure*!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Ooh, a giveaway!

But wait, I already have a stability ball.

Well, if you give me a Small One, I swear to god I will use it as an office chair.

  9. Oooh--I've never been a stability ball person, but my trainer is incorporating it into my prenatal workouts. An at-home version would be great when I don't feel like waddling to the gym!

  10. Oh pick me Random Number Generator!!!

Stability Ball - also known as the big bouncy ball that my kids use to play dodgeball with in the living room, and then accidentally hit me in the head when I walk by.

  11. Not only do I love your fitness blog, with it's dose of real life, but I'd love a stability ball to store next to my other unused equipment! Ha!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Oh I would love a stability ball, maybe then it would motivate me (does it talk?) to do more than read blogs and eat....of course even if it doesn't talk just it's mere presence could promote a healthier me!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. These intrigue me. I suspect I'd hurt myself in an interesting and unusual manner if I had one. Fortunately, I'm much too cheap to buy one and find out. As a CDN resident I can't win, but I'd give mine up to an American if I won.

    ReplyDelete
  14. My stability ball is there to humble me. It's hard to get too puffed up about yourself when you're constantly face-planting into the floor.

If I win, I'd bring it to work. I'm a fidgeter, and bouncing around on a stability ball is one more way to twitch around like a total weirdo.

And the S.H.I.I.T. post came at a great time. I had just described H.I.I.T. to a friend, and once her eyes got big as saucers at the phrase "go so hard you think you'll puke", I knew that H.I.I.T. wasn't going to fly. But I think she'll be totally down with that S.H.I.I.T.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'd love a stability ball. I don't have one yet (having had access to them in my sorority house, and gym), but BK literally has to drag me away from them anytime I see them.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Wet shoes in the wet grass

Rain like tears on my face

    Can it be sunny again?

    ReplyDelete
  17. YES! I'd love a stability ball! It'd come in handy on the days I'm not doing S.H.I.I.T.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I love my Stability Ball ... that little perky SparkPeople girl was quite good !

    ReplyDelete
  19. You US residents, you think you've some balls huh? Well I'm through with that S.H.I.I.T.!

OK seriously though, the balls are different sizes for different sized people? I seriously thought that the giant balls at the gym were just for people who could do REALLY hardcore stuff on them.

I can't figure out how to do anything on them apart from sit on them and drink Powerade while I'm waiting for the next class to start.

  20. Since I live in Canada, I guess it's a good thing I already have a stability ball...I've never tried napping on mine though. :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'd love a stability ball! I need to come up with some new exercises with it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I would love to own a stability ball at home since the ones at the gym are always being hogged by those skinny ab bearing b*tches...i mean lovely girls. Maybe if I get one of those I can be one of them...maybe they have a sexy ab club or something :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ohhh!!! Me please!

    ReplyDelete
  24. My guess is I'd have to lock my dog up in another room but my core sure needs some work (along with the rest of me).

    ReplyDelete
  25. Good thing I'm Canajun and can't win, because the last thing I need is another stability ball - it might mate with the (unused) one I already have, and I'd be overrun with little balls.
Then what would I feed them!?

Love the fact that the Lobster got a wading pool!! I've wanted one for ages, and it's so freakin' hot here right now (supposed to be 93F today)it would be lovely to sit in one, sipping a frosty drink.

Might have to go sit in the stock-waterer, instead....wonder how the cows would feel about that? (I'd move over to let them drink, as long as they promised not to slobber on me!)

    ReplyDelete
  26. my sister-in-law is about to give birth and plans on using one of these babies in the process. When she told me I was like, "Um...won't the baby slide down the ball and hit its head?" But apparently she just wants to LABOR on the ball (sit on it, squat, bounce) and then push it out on a hospital bed. Crazy kids these days, I tell ya!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think I need one of these anti-burst stability balls, because I popped mine :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well fine...we canadians all have a ball already...
I have one of them and love it. You can work a lot of your back and core muscles with it...the thought of a non bursting one appeals though. Occasionally they would pop in the gym I used to go to and man...*loud*!
If you have an extra pool lying about could I put in a bid for that? *blink*

    ReplyDelete
  29. Speaking of instability, have you tried a Bosu ball? EEEK!

I actually have a stability ball, so don't need to be in the contest (don't want to be greedy!) - they do help your at home exercises not be as boring as they could be (how's that for a plug??)
Crabby - Bad Cat stays away from anything to do with exercise (he's a cat after all), so no punctures!

    ReplyDelete
  30. "Well, from the tv ads I always got the impression that cute little hetero families love Frozen Pizzas and Brightly Colored Sugared Breakfast Cereals and Pringles and Kool-Aid?"

Gosh... I can't have my kids read that! They'll be like "and all that time, mommy was trying to feed us tofu, lettuce and fruits!"

As for the cat thing, my kitty is deathly afraid of the (un)stability ball.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I am commenting but not looking to win. If I had another stability ball, that would make 2 deflated stability balls sitting in my basement.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love this! I do crunches on one at the gym, and use it to stretch my back. (Though I do it face-up, so it's more an abs stretch. But still wonderful.) I'd love to use one as my office chair - they make your posture so good.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I popped mine recently. I obviously need a bright yellow one to work on my stability! :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I used to have one (though I left it at my parents' house when I moved to my teeny tiny NYC apartment), and after that whole bursting scandal (some guy was sitting on one and using weights when it burst and he broke a lot of bones when he crashed down and the weights crashed on top of him), I was terrified that mine might not be anti-burst. I could definitely use one that is 100% burst-proof! :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Does the pool come with the ball? 'Cause that would be extra awesome...

Regardless Sportsmith loot rocks. I have one of their bosu-ball thingies, and I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I brought my ball to work to use as an office chair. It's GREAT! My core is much stronger now.

The only tough part is when I lean over to answer the phone and ... flail and then fall... It makes for some breathless "hello"s!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Though I already have a stability ball, it is too big for my short self (IIRC, it's 65cm). I've tried using it as a chair, and it was SO uncomfortable; and I've been unable to do any other exercises on it. I also don't think it's puncture-proof. :-( A small ball might be just the ticket for me! And those links will certainly be helpful - thank you Crabby!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I totally did my S.H.I.T.T. yesterday and thought of you!!! Thanks for the inspiration. I'd like to be more stable, so give me the ball? kthx!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Stability ball! Oh please oh please oh please!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I played with these as a kid! Great fun for bouncing on and bonking others with! Or, if we were feeling in a physics mood, have 2 kids run toward one other each holding a stability ball out front and thereby sending each kid/ball combo flying in the opposite direction

    ReplyDelete
  41. I already have a ball, so I don't need one (if you have a bosu, then count me in), but wanted to share 2 things:

    1) They're stability balls because they're supposed to help increase stability

    2) My cat punctured one, once (I wasn't home when it happened, but whatever it was, the architect seemed to feel it was more his fault than the cats, and he bought me a new one).

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ooh! I've been meaning to get one of these! I think I'd need a medium if the random # generator picks me!

Sorry I couldn't think of anything witty today...

    ReplyDelete
  43. My how I need this! Just found you last night. I, like Merry, am vertically challenged and horizontally enhanced with the big bonus prize: smack dab in the middle of menopause!!! Nothing like a big old hot flash half way through the workout.

I am about to step up into the serious business of reclaiming (shouldn't that be un-claiming?) this tenacious tub around my middle.

That ball, a small, would certainly help!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I've always wanted to try those but have been afraid I'd crush it. I enjoy your blog...keep up the great work. Mine is suffering from lack of interest (mine AND readers). LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Raises hand! Small stability ball for this shorty!

On my summer vacation this year, I have: climbed Mt. Everest, trudged through the Sonoran desert dodging rattlesnakes, eaten my way through Italy with a hunk of manflesh named Paulo, and - oh wait, I haven't taken a summer vacation. So basically, I haven't done S.H.I.I.T.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I love this SHIIT. I also think that these balls are perfect for drying hand wash clothing since it keeps a shirt's shape and doesn't stretch it out. I's also like to put a board on top of it and see if I can balance like people do in the circus, or on cruise lines. Then I can become a STAR! No seriously, this fat arse needs a stability ball. Love this blog - keep up the good work!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oooh! I'm a smidge over 6 feet tall, and I want to stay that way! I would totally use a stability ball to stretch out and keep my spine from smooshing!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would love one of these! And using it as a chair while on the computer sounds like a fun way to sneak in a bit of exercise.

    ReplyDelete
  49. This post (and most of your other posts) made me LOL. I sent the S.H.I.I.T. entry to my nutritionally and athletically sound boyfriend, who's been trying to be me to do actual interval workouts.

Also, I would loooove one of these - I heard that if you sit at them at work it's considered a workout (a stealth workout)

    Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Stability ball = I bust my ass every time I use it.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hey! I need one of these to do my physical therapy exercises for my knees. Currently I'm using a stupid green-polka-dotted slightly deflated kid's ball that isn't even big enough.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hm. I'd like a stability ball, please! I'm looking for more exercises I can do at home these days. (Although if I don't win, I vote for Melissa, because physical therapy without the right equipment SUCKS!)

    ReplyDelete
  53. At 5'2" (ok, I confess, 5'1 3/4"), I definitely qualify for a small stability ball. Maybe it will motivate me to start actually strengthening my core.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Damn. And I really wanted a stability ball.

I'll have to get one on my own it seems. (I'd probably have to anyway, how likely is it that I would win TWO contests?)

    ReplyDelete
  55. I've always wanted my very own stability ball!! I am short so a small one would be best for me. My Mother in law recently got one and she has been having so much fun with it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. i would like the stability ball for the short or the super duper short! i am 5'1" and there is never one in the gym that is my size. pick me! pick me! i promise to use it for (super short person) good, not evil

    ReplyDelete
  57. Oh pick me, I could use a new one. Been using the old one to work on strengthening exercises for my dog and her claws have scratched it all up. Would be nice to have one that isn't full of paw prints to call my own.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I love stability balls. They give a brutal abs workout! I've heard some people use them as chairs, but that it's not really a good idea. I don't remember why. It sounds good to me. Very efficient-- work on your abs while at the office!

    ReplyDelete
  59. now, if yoooou were to happen to "win" this... you wouldn't even be able to get the prize- since youre in canada (right??). that's so sad.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I have always wanted a stability ball to intensify my core workout but have just never gotten around to buying one... maybe I will get lucky and won't have to ;)

    ReplyDelete
  61. First, my ball-crazed Border Collie leaves my stability ball alone. Very good thing. I have 1# of sand in the bottom of it make it just a little more stable.

While I don't need to win one, any help on a pump adapter (since I lost mine) would be appreciated. Anyone with specifics?

I use my Stability ball for:

    reverse crunches to push ups
    unstable bench presses
    wall squats
    ball lunges
    unstable press ups
    unstable cable lat pull downs

Well, just about anything I do, I can knock it up or down a degree with a ball. Since you're working your core, you use lighter weights.

    ReplyDelete
  62. great info and I WANT IT!!! Have a great Friday :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. omg, i have a stability ball but when we moved, i lost the little plug thing that keeps the air from seeping out and the ball from deflating. so yes, i would like one please. :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Oooh, want! Stability balls are such fun, why haven't I bought myself one since I left the gym? Since I'm so lazy, can I win one? I'm reassured that I'm not the only person who thinks it would make a nice desk chair. Er, seat.

Crabby, my limited observation of little gay families tells me they eat donuts. Lots of donuts. (Why don't they advertise donuts on television?)

  65. I followed the link to Sportsmith. I came back without spending any money, but I don't know how long I can hold out. BAD blog, BAD.

  66. I loved my stability ball, until it rolled onto my iron (I was warming it up on the floor) and melted a hole in it!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I take a class at the gym called "On the Ball," (cute...) and believe it or not, it's really fun and it's a great workout. It especially firms my thighs and tones my butt. My smart instructor also finds ways for us to use hand weights and do abs and cardio on the ball. Not all at the same time, of course.
I also sit on a ball at my computer; it forces good posture makes you work a little on some body part.
I'd love a ball for my desk at work!
    Beth

  68. Feeding this hetero family is easy, as long as every recipe starts with grabbing grandma's cast iron and melting some bacon grease. Seriously, that is how my husband ate growing up, and that is how he eats now.

As I am only 5'0', and don't want to lose any (can't afford to really), I would love a small one of these to keep me even at least.

  69. Stability balls are a blast. They're always trying to get me to balance, while sitting, on one at physical therapy.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Howdy, nice blog! I was feeling cranky about doing HIIT just as I found your post. Mostly I hate doing what everyone else is doing, though. Anyway, I'm in no way affiliated with them (if I were, I'd be in shape), but I do a "Dumbbell Core" video on odd mornings, from gofit.net, and they have a chick doing stability ball crunches with a weight behind her head. I don't have one, so I just use my inclined situp bench, but I wonder what I'm missing. They have a bunch of stability ball DVDs if you, too, prefer taking orders. Their Interval training DVD has three namby-pamby-looking zones based on heartrate, though, so I suspect it's not S.H.I.I.T.y enough for this crowd.. but my point was, nice video, lots more all about stability balls. And kettlebells, goddamn, they're going to put a cheese grater in one next they're so ubiquitous.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I don't have a stability ball. But my week has been total crap so lets hope winning one will make next week better. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  72. that link to the hilarious workout instructions is awesome!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I have always wanted a stability ball but having 3 cats always scared me because I could just imagine the fun they would have with it (that is until it pops and scares the crap out of them).

    ReplyDelete
  74. Wow, I almost wish I hadn't decided to use a random generator on this one, because there are such great, funny, (and nice!) comments here I want to award prizes!!!!

On the other hand, since there's just one ball and I'd have to pick the most awesome from such a big field, perhaps its best to let the Random Number Generator do the dirty work.

I've been having a busy few days, otherwise I'd be hanging out here commenting more instead of just reading and giggling and smiling to myself.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I could totally use one of those! Just wondering how I could hide it from my sons...

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hoping I get picked by the random number generator for the stability ball!! I really need help on my core!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Nice Giveaway! I could really use one. I love Bossy's blog, thanks for the link :-)

    ReplyDelete
  78. Pick me, pick me. I want the adapter too, to keep it big enough to hold me.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I love my ball ♥ but sometimes..it doesn't love me. My balance sometimes isn't the best, note the many of times I have rolled off of it. I really need to video myself on it!

    ReplyDelete
  80. i could use one for home use....great giveaway. thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  81. One of my cats popped my ball.. I'd love to have another! I promise to keep it in the garage away from retractable claws. Those jerks.

    Have a good one! :)

  82. I need a small stability ball.
Mybe then I'll actually try to do a little exercising
    clenna@aol.com,

    ReplyDelete
  83. I always feel a little guilty working with stability balls. They remind me so much of things one would play with as a child, I tend to regress to my five your old self- rolling about and having a jolly good time. Not like a workout at all!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I am sitting and watching all the extremely fit and healthy people in the Olympics. The tv sits within sight of my folded up treadmill, my yoga book sits on the shelf, my pilates tape (gift from daughter) sits by the computer and here I sit. We are all sitting.

It would do to have a stability ball to lay on. My back could definitely use stretching and my butt could use anything besides sitting.

    ReplyDelete
  85. OK, I'm in. Stability balls are supposed to give a great core workout. (Where do you get all this neat stuff to give away?)

    ReplyDelete
  86. Love using these at the gym! Would love to have my own at home !

    ReplyDelete
  87. I would love one please!

    ReplyDelete
  88. The only part of my bod that I'd like to work on more is the abdominals.. this probably would take care of that!!

    ReplyDelete
  89. I really, REALLY want one of these!! I don't care what size you give me, I have options for all of them......a few of them may be illegal in some states!!

I feed my cute little hetero family spray can cheese on Doritos - they really like it although it gives the water an "orangeish" appearance!!

Gotta go! Got S.H.I.I.T. to do!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Can I just say again that you folks are totally cracking me up?

Must go exercise but can't stop reading blog comments...

    ReplyDelete
  91. I ended up getting the wrong size of the stability ball, and so it's used by my 18 year old sister to just bounce on it each day she gets up in the morning. I'm worried it might burst under her weight one of these days.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I found out recently that my elementary school age nephew sits on a stability ball at school instead of a chair. It actually helps his school performance!

I'd like to see if my work at the office can be improved with one of these...

    ReplyDelete
  93. I'm with the crowd who would attempt to use it as a desk chair at work. Or, if I was feeling cruel, the chair I offered to people who came to my office.

"So, explain to me again what you're looking for? OK, can you maybe write that down?"

    ReplyDelete
  94. I'd love to enter. I had a stability ball, but I got one that was too small and I didn't like it. It wasn't that I was too big, but the ball itself didn't inflate as high as the ones I was used to. Darn it.

  95. I'd like one too! I think it would be a riot to hand over to the two grand-daughters and see what they could do with it...one can only imagine them running at each other and bouncing this way and that...not to mention the use for the baby as well! Laughing out loud at the pictures

Seriously though...would love one for my desk at school. Think it would help my back bunches!

    ReplyDelete
  96. I love love love stability balls. The one I have right now is a stayball--not a real stability ball--which means it's got some sorta sandbag in it that makes it heavy and noisy. Plus, I'm four feet ten inches, and it's hard for me to find a ball that's for my size, so I keep trying new ones in the hopes that one will be perfect for me. And I like free stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I would LOVE a stability ball.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I absolutely need more stability in my life and a bright, sunny yellow ball of it may just be the ticket to help me get there! My body is a mess and I need some help! Please bestow this pacman stability ball upon me...!

  99. Oh! I could really use a new stability ball. The one I have doesn't hold air very well and I'm constantly having to Pump! It up!

So, I'm getting something done. I really want the ball for my 2 year old son to roll on. He loves those things.

  103. I just found your blog and loved reading about your S.H.I.I.T. Ha ha! I've used a stability ball at the gym, but with a toddler and a 6-month old, I'm trying to work out at home. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A STABILITY BALL of my own (although I'm sure my toddler would claim it for himself)!

  104. I would love a new stability ball to replace my old and large instability ball that my dog popped with her big feet and toenails. I could also use it to hit the dog and my son in the head when they act up! (No dogs or kids were or will be injured in the usage of said ball).

  108. My daughter has a stability ball that I tried out and it's great. I'd love to use one. I envision sit-ups and push-ups on it. I wonder what else I could do?!!

  110. I'd love to have my own at home instead of only using one occasionally at the gym!

  111. Ah stability balls. While they do hurt, I LOVE em!

That's the next piece of equipment that I want to get, when I can afford it. (Damn college = no money lol)

For now I just take workout classes where I know we'll use them :D

It's one of the best ways for me to get a real core workout and have fun. I can do crunches till the sun goes down (or almost lol.), but I wonder how effective they really are because the stomach flub kinda gets in the way.

But yeah, I could sing the praises of stability balls for a while.

  113. Can you believe I don't have a stability ball? Me, neither! I totally need one! Plus the pump! :)

  114. One of my high school students was just diagnosed with ADHD. I need this for my classroom!

  115. I need to get my core back in shape. I want to start up swimming again in a month or two. My goal is to get my butterfly stroke back to what is was in high school, but the stroke is heavy on the core muscles.

  116. The stability ball is great for your abs and for lots of different excercises to focus on balance. I also really loved sitting on it when I was pregnant.
