What the Heck is La Vida Cranky?
It's the reincarnation of Cranky Fitness, a health and fitness blog started by Jan Graham (writing as Crabby McSlacker) back in the ancient days of 2007. Posting has started and stopped many times, just like most exercise routines and diets.

One of the founding principles of Cranky Fitness is: Healthy Living is a Pain in the Ass. Continuing in that tradition, La Vida Cranky (The Cranky Life) will feature a skeptical take on pretty much everything. This is basically an outlet for a cantankerous human female who has opinions about everything.
About Crabby McSlacker:
Look how young Crabby McSlacker used to be!
Spoiler alert: she is no longer young. Along with her medicare card she has now been issued a whole new set of health-related issues to complain about. Yet she likes to pretend she can exercise her way out of them.
Anyway.
Jan Graham, aka Crabby McSlacker (and more recently Jantankerous on Threads), is happily retired, living half time in Provincetown MA and half time in Valencia, Spain. She has been a Life and Wellness Coach, an ACE certified Health Coach, and may even still hold an inactive license as a California Marriage and Family Therapist, although it has been a long while since she has therapized anyone. Oh, and eons ago she used to be an attorney, which seems awfully unlikely, doesn't it?
What would she would rather be doing that working out and eating kale, both of which she still does?
She would rather be eating nachos and watching Britbox. And... writing fiction. She has indeed done some of that.
(Coming soon evenually, her most recent novel: Niccolo Would Like a Word. More info and details forthcoming.)
Who is "The Lobster?"
Crabby and the Lobster have been together since 1990 and were married in Massachusetts. They both grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area.
There are quite a few Previous Contributors, as of many years ago, so who the heck knows what they are up to now? Probably something fun!
Jan Bono writes books! Many of them, and unlike the other Jan, aka Crabby McSlacker, she has a proper author website at Jan Bono Books.
Tiffany Reiss was last seen serving as an adjunct faculty member for Seattle University, Lake Washington Institute of Technology, American Public University and Walden University.
The Merry used to have a fun blog called Sheesh.
Jo was hanging out at Head Nurse with a down-to-earth glimpse of the nursing profession and what goes in hospitals.
Gigi was last seen at Chunky Monkey Mama, another fine former blog.
For some reason, the blogger platform ate the old "About" page, and with it all the great comments! So sorry to the kind people who stopped by before.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to start working out after taking this preworkout supplement, it seems to induce the aggression and energy I need to get me started.
