Many of you have no doubt already seen this, but the funny video below was new for Crabby and it made her giggle.
(This is sort of an apology for not getting a Random Friday post together. Next week we should be back with the usual silliness).
On retry, after attempting to put the YouTube video in directly and having it mess up midway through, Crabby will refer you to this handy link instead. Let her know if that craps out halfway through too.
Why is Cranky Fitness the only blog in the world that can't seem to post YouTube videos? Sigh. Crabby will try not to take it personally. Anyway, check it out if you haven't already.
And have a great weekend!
Hi, Crabby! ACK, I hear ya -- for some reason, I can't post You Tube videos to my blog, either! I don't know what the heck is going on with that. You Tube doesn't like us *sob!* :-D
ReplyDeleteOh, it's so accurate.
ReplyDeleteYeah I tried to post a YouTube video as well, and it worked at first. But then later, it completely disappeared from the page! What's up with that?
Crabby,
ReplyDeleteI am always happy if I can just post the link.
Very funny.
Terrie
Loved it!
ReplyDeleteVery funny!
ReplyDeleteNow I know not to try posting a video.
That sums up everything my mum has ever said to me. Especially the friends jump off the cliff part. Kekeke!
ReplyDeleteI smartly replied by telling her I would, rather than staying here and listen to her yakking. =P
Those were the days.
whoops. I guess I'm a day behind! I thought yesterday's post was today's.
ReplyDeleteI've had hit and miss with the YouTube videos. Once, I tried uploading one to my site, and it showed up...three days later! I just do them all manually now. (I copy and paste the entire code of a video that I HAS actually worked, and then I go in and copied the unique 6 or 7 code of numbers and letters of the new video --there are two places that the unique code needs to be replaced--and viola!) ugh. I'm so bad at explaining these things. I don't know all the proper "codey" language. It's actually really easy.
oh yeah, and the actually video is great! :)
ReplyDeleteThe "Mom's advice" video is great. Our adult children cracked up.
ReplyDeletePosting YouTube videos on my blog has worked, so far. I just use the "Embed" code from the YouTube page (it begins with "(angle bracket)object width...") and copy-and-paste that where I want it in my blog. The last one I did is here: Are You the Monkey or Dog?
Thanks for the video suggestions, folks--glad to hear it's not just me! The first time I posted a video (by using the embed code) it "broke" my RSS feed; the second time it would run halfway and then crash.
ReplyDeleteEven though I don't have kids, this video cracked me up because I remember my Mom saying all this same stuff 40 years ago. (Except for the text messaging and the ipod stuff). However, it sounds so much more sensible to me now than it did then!
That is so funny! I can't wait to show it to share with other moms I know
ReplyDeleteI love this!! My mom said those same words every single day (except the text and i-pod references). My favorite: Because I said so.
ReplyDeleteI can't post YouTube videos either!
ReplyDeleteAnd my pictures always end up on top, I can't embed them like other people!!!
Crabby, I've never tried posting a YouTube video so I can't help.
ReplyDeleteI do love the Mom song though. I was thinking of taping it and sneaking it onto my kids' ipods...
Marijke, what a clever evil idea!
ReplyDeleteunfortunately, by the time I followed the link, YouTube had removed the video altogether.
ReplyDeleteOh no, it's gone? Shoot!
ReplyDeleteSorry about that--perhaps it was a copyright thing.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the woman's name anymore--but it was a funny song sung rapid fire to the tune of the William Tell Overture.
