NutriPro Juicer Giveaway!

Brand New! Efficient! Easy! A Few Quick Minutes and You're Done!

And yeah, this may perfectly describe the Bella NutriPro Juicer but...I was actually speaking about this blog post.

Because this is gonna be brief folks, as there is a comprehensive and enormously helpful NutriPro Juicer Review over at MizFit's blog.

Check it out! It will fully explain the awesomeness of this machine, plus there are lots of adorable pictures.

And just how stupid am I?  I mean, um, how just how generous am I?  I figured since I was a "blender person," and not much of a "juicer person," I'd do this as a blog giveaway because I know many of you like to juice the hell out of things and I wasn't sure I was mentally prepared to cheat on my beloved healthy smoothies. Even if it might be tempting to start spending my mornings with a thinner, lighter, sexier breakfast companion.

Now, reading what I missed out on, I'm thinking Carla is a heck of a lot smarter than I am. (Well, I knew that anyway).  This looks to be a very high end machine with amazing powers. And I had no idea you could do stuff with the pulp like bake with it!

On the other hand, my loss is your gain, if you are the lucky winner. (And sorry, this one's U.S. only).

Since I was too dumb to experiment with it myself, let me introduce you to this handsome no-blade, cold-press type juicer by lazily cribbing from the promotional literature and then taking shameless liberties with it.

Why this thingy looks like it could be pretty cool:
  • It uses a two-stage cold press juicing technology that operates via a chewing (mastication) method to produce high-quality juice from each fruit and vegetable.  (Which sounds kinda creepy in a way, but let's assume it only chews what you feed it and will not develop a sudden craving for small pets or smartphones).
  • The single juicing screw in the processing bowl first crushes, the compresses and squeezes out the juice. (Oh crap, we have squeezing and screwing in the same paragraph, here come the porno googlers!)
  • There are no fast-spinning blades that cut and pulverize the fruits and vegetables to produce juice. This minimizes oxidation, no heat is used, and more nutrients and enzymes are preserved. Enzymes aid digestion, keep you youthful and vibrant and increase energy. Enzymes also help break down foods and tell the nutrients where they are most needed in the body. (Hey enzymes, while you're turning me all youthful and vibrant, could you also send some cellulite-destroying nutrients straight to my ass? 'K thanks!)
  • The NutriPro Juicer  yields more juice from certain fruits and vegetables than other juicers. For example, the NutriPro produced 66% more pineapple juice than one of its main competitors. (Pina Coladas, yay!  Breakfast of slightly inebriated champions!)
  • It's also easy to clean and dishwasher safe. It's sleek vertical design easily fits on the countertop and saves space over larger horizontal professional juicers.(And if you start drinking celery juice instead of all those carmel frappucinos, you too may be sporting a new sleek vertical design).
Also, FYI, the juicer retails for  $250, but they also have a trial offer with free shipping for 15 bucks if you don't win and are curious.

To Enter The Giveaway

Sorry again that it's U.S. only. Just leave a comment and the winner will be announced next Monday and you'll have until Friday the 22nd to claim it or someone else gets YOUR cold press juicer.

Are you juice person, a smoothie person, both or neither? Thoughts about juice?

  4. Dang. I would love to win this as I am waaaaay too cheap to buy it and I already have an old juicer around here some place.
Meanwhile, I made a smoothie out of coconut milk and a banana yesterday. It was very good.

  5. As someone who looked over what she ate yesterday and mused "is wine a vegetable?", I could probably use a juicer!

    1. Hmm... never thought of winemaking with a juicer but could this be yet another reason I shoulda gone for it? A juicer, a cask, a little time, whatever the hell else they add to wine to make it not taste like moldy grape juice... think of all those lovely antioxidants!

    2. If y'all can figure this one out, I will definitely have to get a juicer!!!

  6. I'm a smoothie person. I don't know much about juicing but really want to learn. My blender can't handle pureeing apples, carrots, etc but I like smoothies with avocado, kale and spinach!

    ReplyDelete
  7. We've wanted to try juicing, but not owning a juicer, nor wanting to spend race entrie fees on buying one, has stopped us...would LOVE to win this!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Both! I like to juice an apple or orange, along with a lemon and a cucumber, then take that juice and blend it with a nub of ginger, some greens (usually spinach or kale), and half a small avocado...best of both worlds: juice and smoothie!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Looks easy to use. I have a juicer, buts a PITA to clean, so I don't use it as often as I should. Since I'm canadian I'll just sit back and relax and make myself some juice here and see who wins :)

  10. This is exactly the kind of juicer I would love to upgrade from my hand-me down from the early 90s Hamilton Beach centrifugal juicer. Um, who's a juicing nerd? This gal!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I've been thinking I want a juicer - but whenever I look at the cost I get scared. To win one though? That would be perfect!!

  12. Okay, I liked your Facebook, faced your Likebook, tweeted, retweeted and untweeted it, flirted with your eHarmony profile, offered a job to your LinkedIn page, pinned your Pinterest, thumbed up on StumbleUpon, invented a whole new thing called HappyButt and gave it five spankings. What more can I possibly do?

    1. I think HappyButt has real possibilities as the next social networking phenomenon.

    2. Thanks for the Cranky Spankies Jack, I think you're onto something with HappyButt. More fun to get spanked than plussed or klouted or stumbledupon or thumbed up by any of the million social media sites I never take advantage of. After all, sometimes I am a naughty, naughty girl. (Um, do I get to pick which hot celebrity administers the "endorsement?")

  13. I'm really neither. I'll do smoothies on rare occasion, because they ARE tasty, but I always say I prefer to chew my calories. I just feel like it's more physically satisfying than sucking it through a straw.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I got a juicer (not this one, one of the Brevilles) in a burst of enthusiasm -- think I've used it three times. Once I went through the hassles of clean-up and thought about the amount of produce to get a good yield, I started thinking the little bottles at Whole Foods weren't as overpriced as they used to look. (So if anyone in the Washington, DC area is interested in a juicer ... )

    ReplyDelete
  15. Lurve smoothies! 1 c. plain yogurt, 1 cup berries (fresh or frozen), 1 apple, as much spinach as you can cram in there (2-3 c.)and a splash of o.j. to get the blender started. Takes 5 minutes and makes 2 big servings, for two breakfasts or (because I am the world's laziest cook) one dinner. Tastes like a milkshake and 100% good for you.

If you love the fun and flavours in making your own juices, then go nuts! But I think the fibre is what makes fruits and veggies filling and digestively useful.

  19. I am a juicer type person - I like smoothies okay but can never seem to make them right. My boyfriend is a great smoothie maker. Don't currently have a juicer, had to sell it to buy Christmas gifts for the kids a few years ago. Would be nice to have on again. :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm a little bit of both. I really like smoothies and they're easy to prepare and I've yet to find someone who will turn down a smoothie. I also like drinking juices but it can get expensive with all the produce you need to add. That being said if you garden it really cuts down on the cost. I don't have a juicer (would love one) but I do know people who have them and love them.

  21. Oh, soooo tempting. We have a Breville that we use almost daily. I love it, but it doesn't have both the squeezing and the screwing. Not sure which it has, but it definitely doesn't have both. I have a traditional smoothie from the blender every morning. Then, I also make juice in my Breville to take to work with me. Thanks for the opportunity to win big, Crabby!

  22. I'm a smoothie person, but that's because I've never used a juicer, never had the budget for one. Since I'm having trouble getting the smoothie ratios right lately, a juicer interlude could be nice!

  23. We've talked about getting a blender or food processor for a while, partly for smoothie experiments, but our little kitchen's already so full it'd probably mean getting rid of the sandwich toaster ... I'm not sure that's something we're ready for yet, as a family.

Hey ho, I'm not in the US anyway! #8-D

  24. Ooooo - now we're talkin'..especially the easy cleaning part! Fingers crossed that I'm the lucky winner!

  27. Just tried juicing with a blender and straining last week. I like it but it's definitely time consuming! I've definitely noticed more energy and think it's a good way to eat celery and other veggies I'm not crazy about. Thanks!

  28. I'm a juice person for sure. It's a great way to get in my fruits in veggies that I otherwise wouldn't.

  30. I'm in between - I use a high powered blender to make my drinks which I drink twice a day - full of vegetables and fruit but I'd love to have a juicer as well to supplement my diet - after seeing "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead", I now believe in the benefits of juicing.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love both juices and smoothies, but I have smoothies more often since there is less cleanup involved :)

  37. I have both a blender and a juicer, so I'm set for now :) The hard part was settling in with an adequate blender (I got sucked in to the Nutribullet marketing machine - but, I swear this thing really, really works like a top!!)

My dear, wonderful sisters gave me a juicer over a year ago and THAT'S what truly started a HUGELY positive wheel turning in my life. The juicer was a symbol (long story) as much as anything else. I use it now mainly in the warmer months when I crave those refreshing drinks and don't so much mind the splashing that inevitably ensues with proper PITA clean up work.

I am the only person I know that does smoothies predominantly for dinner (v. breakfast or lunch). I do my cardio work out after work and go to bed early so I can get the strength stuff done before work in the morning. So, blending dinner helps make sure I can go horizontal early and not encounter as many digestive difficulties as might be with a 'heavier'/denser meal AND it is pretty fast to prepare and clean up.

Looking forward to seeing who wins this one!

  52. I am somewhat new to the wonders of juicing and smoothies, but I'm HOOKED! I absolutely love how I am feeling, so healthy and clean. However, at present I would say I enjoy my Smoothies more due to the lack of efficiency of my economy juicer. It allows far to much juice to remain in the pulp even allowing big pieces of produce to pass through. I love this new lifestyle I am discovering!

  78. I prefer juicing because I love the consistency of the juice compared to the thickness from a smoothie. I always purchase my juice from a store nearby, but I want to make my own. I went through a "juice" detox with my$ 10 blender and cheesecloth as my strainer. Obviously, I didn't do it right because I didn't get the nutrients I'm supposed to. Since then I have researched the proper way of juicing and I'm saving religously for a juicer right now. This giveaway will help me a me! Totally looking forward to juicing!

I buy some from Whole Foods, but it's a bit pricey. (And maybe this way I can get my father-in-law, who had a quadruple bypass 2 years ago, to join me.)
