Diseases, Dangers, Aging and Annoyances

It's a scary world out there. All kinds of bad things can happen to you, from lightning strikes to car crashes to heart attacks. So doesn't it make sense to curl up with a good book never leave your house be prepared?

We may not be able to avoid every kind of disease or danger, but we sure as heck can obsess about the terrible things that might occur one day.  And armed with a bit of knowledge and over-active imaginations, we can then rush around like paranoid maniacs trying to take every conceivable step possible to prevent future disasters.  In this way we can try to ensure that we will never, ever die.

Oh, and we also like to gripe about non-lethal threats, like sunscreen and mosquitoes, because even when the world isn't being a dangerous place often it's pretty damn annoying.
