I figure if even the pros have ups and downs, who am I to stress out over mine? While I've powered through, I am running my fifth marathon on Sunday with NO IDEA how it will go. Then I am fine a couple of days later. It is related to a drop in my hormones. So I always give myself a couple of days off without any guilt.
